Shadow in the Sun

Have you met our cat Shadow?  I've featured her in some previous posts.  She loves to find warm, sunny places to sleep.  On a lovely sunlit day she always manages to find the warmest places.

She will usually curl up to sleep, but if it is really warm and sunny she stretches out on her back to soak up as much sun as possible.

Are you taking pictures of me?  Please don't interrupt my sleep.

It isn't just humans that love the sun in winter.  Even Shadow casts shadows.  A good dose of sunshine is good for all of us.

Today I'm sharing my Shadow photos with Camera CrittersShadow Shot SundaySunlit Sunday, and Mosaic Monday.

  1. Sweet photos of your cat. There's nothing like a catnap in the sunshine is there? Pamela

  12. This reminds me of times when the little boy I was caring for would wake up, head to the sliding glass door, and stretch out alongside the kitten and dog to bask in the sun. I think cats are the best sun-finders of all the domesticated critters.

  16. Cats have the right idea on a cold, yet sunny day... curl up in the sun and let it soak into your achy bones. My cat and I both have arthritis and I have been known to lay with her on the floor in a sunny spot. Afterwards, we both feel better!

  18. Funny how a cat or dog can be asleep in the sun but as soon as you creep up with your camera, up comes the head. I like the part in your header that says 24 days to spring.
