She will usually curl up to sleep, but if it is really warm and sunny she stretches out on her back to soak up as much sun as possible.

Are you taking pictures of me? Please don't interrupt my sleep.

It isn't just humans that love the sun in winter. Even Shadow casts shadows. A good dose of sunshine is good for all of us.
Today I'm sharing my Shadow photos with Camera Critters, Shadow Shot Sunday, Sunlit Sunday, and Mosaic Monday.

Sweet photos of your cat. There's nothing like a catnap in the sunshine is there? Pamela
ReplyDeleteYour cat looks so much like our Shadow - except just under the chin your seems to have a contrasting white pattern! Ours is all grey! Beautiful shadow play round these delightful scenes!
ReplyDeletethey are good at laying in those sunny places...i wouldn't mind it myself sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Shadow is such a beautiful, soft shade of gray!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cat she is!! And what delightful shadow shots for the day! We all love the sunshine, don't we? Like Shadow, Sam Schnauzer loves to lie in the sun, roll onto his back and soak it up!! Hope you and Shadow are having a great weekend -- hopefully with some sunshine!!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
wonderful shots of Shadow who looks so happy in the sun.....
ReplyDeleteLOL They are so funny to watch. The positions they get into! Would not think they are comfy, but they must be.
ReplyDeleteLove her soft gray coloring!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot makes me want to find a sunny spot and take a nap. :)
Sensible cat...grab the sun when it shines!
ReplyDeleteahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, TO BE A HOUSECAT CAT! What a life! (((hugs)))Pat
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of times when the little boy I was caring for would wake up, head to the sliding glass door, and stretch out alongside the kitten and dog to bask in the sun. I think cats are the best sun-finders of all the domesticated critters.
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteMy puss used to do the same; cats do know how to live well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to "Sunlit Sunday", Linda. I appreciate you including your posts each week.
Give beautiful Shadow a little ear rub from me.

YAWN......Thanks for making me sleepy and introducing us to Shadow! Wonderful pics...

Cats have the right idea on a cold, yet sunny day... curl up in the sun and let it soak into your achy bones. My cat and I both have arthritis and I have been known to lay with her on the floor in a sunny spot. Afterwards, we both feel better!
ReplyDeleteA catnap in the sunshine is purrrrrrrrrfect..
ReplyDeletehugs, Cherry
Funny how a cat or dog can be asleep in the sun but as soon as you creep up with your camera, up comes the head. I like the part in your header that says 24 days to spring.
