The Pacific Undersea Gardens are housed on this boat What a fascinating place to visit and see creatures from under the sea.

The SS Beaver is up for sale. This is a replica of the original paddle wheel boat that sailed from England in 1835.

A big cruiser reflected in the calm waters.

Another view of the SS Beaver and the wonderful reflection in the water.
These photos are of course from our vacation on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I'm so glad I took many, many photos as it allows for lots of time for reminiscing over the winter months. I'm linking up with Weekend Reflections and Sunlit Sunday.

The boats look beautiful bobbing there in the sun. Wish it would come our way. V
ReplyDeleteIt has turned out to be a lovely sunny day here today.
DeleteI was interested and surprised to read about the undersea gardens in the first boat.
ReplyDeleteYou must have had beautiful weather on the trip, judging from your photos and the lovely clear reflections in the water.
Thank you for linking to Sunlit Sunday, Linda!
All your pictures don't seem to reflect the Vancouver I saw - wet and humid. But it sure is nice to see such beautiful photos - love all the boats and water in that area. Hope you had a good day, it was gorgeous here in SW Ontario.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures were taken at the Victoria harbour in November 2011. The wether changed from day to day and we were lucky it was a sunny day we were there.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place to visit. Love the boat reflections on the water.
ReplyDeleteThe light is gorgeous. It has been such a long time since I've seen such bright sunlight (at least so it seems).
ReplyDeleteHi Linda
ReplyDeleteThe water around the boats is so smooth, it looks like glass. A beautiful area, and we had good weather there in the fall of 2010.

You have some amazing shots of your visit here....great job!!! Your photos show off our city very well. It is nice to see other people photos of familiar areas.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures and lovely views of the harbor!! Thank you!! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI love boats and anything to do with the water. Probably spent 1/2 of my life in the water. Life guard at 16 and swimming lesson teaching. Loved water skiing and all the other fun thing.

I love walking the waterfront in Victoria, but we haven't been there in years. It must have taken lots of courage to ride across the ocean in a boat that size. I get scared in anything over three feet. - Margy
ReplyDeleteLinda this is such a neat way to show case your pictures !
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to take a tour on the water : ) I am so glad we had an opportunity to live on Vancouver Island .. but wish I had a digital camera back then ! haha
Great pictures for cold gray days here !

Lucky you Joy, having the chance to live on Vancouver Island, it is certainly a beautiful place.
DeleteWhat would we do without our digital cameras?
Looks a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI've always heard that a visit to Vancouver should be on everyone's bucket list. Your photos would certainly lend credence to that argument. Beautiful. Just beautiful! I'd love to see the underwater gardens.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photos! I hope to visit the west one day.
ReplyDeleteI love the boats in the Harbor and their reflections in the water.
