My blog, like life, is a mixture of all sorts of things . . . gardening, nature, crafts and photography. Right now it's the time of year when the focus is more on the non-gardening things I love to do. But I'm always thinking and dreaming of gardening.

Spread a Little Sun

My LIttle Home and Garden has started a new link party on Sundays called Sunlit Sunday, a chance to spread a little sun into these grey winter days.
It is amazing how a little sun can change the whole day.

Here is the sun shining through the bare trees on Saturday.  The sun streamed into the house and changed the whole atmosphere, plus it showed up all the dust!  But who does housework on a sunny day?

Here is the backyard in front of those big, bare trees.  The sun created shadows across the lawn.  You can see we only have a little bit of snow as the past two days have seen temperatures around +5 Celsius.

Here is the field across the road from us basked in sun.  A few days ago it was shrouded in fog.  I'm not sure what today will be like, it is still too early and dark outside.  I do think it will be a little colder but is that sun comes out we won't mind one little bit.

So get out on a sunny day, snap some photos and share them at Sunlit Sunday.

  6. Oh, the sunlight really does make all the different in my attitude! haha - I laughed at you talking about the dust. The sun shone through a window at just the right angle the other day and I just about died everything was so dusty! I just drew the drapes! :)

  8. I spoke to my son in Kingston this weekend and he told me that they'd had highs of +10C - warmer than here in Victoria! Enjoy it while it stays!

  9. Sunlit Sunday sounds like a fine idea, Linda. Up north, like we are, it seems few and far between. The weather lately has been offering up many sunny days in the past few days like you have shown. I just saw your meme today and my post has mostly dreary days, which is so typical to here. I would have added a sunny day image had I saw this post first.
