I had been doing laundry and dusting the cube shelf unit in the kitchen. That is a job I tend to put off and put off, but I decided it was time to tackle it yesterday. During a break in dusting and moving items I went out onto the deck and then out onto the front path to snap a few pictures to create into a mosaic/collage to share with Mosaic Monday.
The snow didn't last long and with temperatures reaching +5 Celsius today what tiny traces are left will quickly disappear. There is also rain in the forecast for today. It doesn't look like it will be a white Christmas in my part of Ontario.
How about where you are? What sort of weather is anticipated for Christmas?

Down in Melbourne we are expecting 32C on Christmas Day with the chance of a thunderstorm. It's going to be hot and steamy.

Ha! We had a flurry too! Stay warm xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks so cold, as is here in the UK. Cold and lots of rain as I look out of the window, which after just having an inch of snow before weekend the ground is very icy.
ReplyDeleteThey have predicted for us lots of rain but no snow for Christmas, but who knows
Enjoy your week Linda, and have a lovely Christmas.

Your mosaic of that first dusting of snow is very pretty. We will have a warm and moist Christmas, but that's just fine - perfect walking weather. I heard from my son that it was +10 in Kingston last week - amazing!

ReplyDeleteI love your inuksuk on your deck!
We have been promised snow for the last week,
but our little spot never gets any of it.
Truthfully, I don't think we'll have snow
for Christmas.
Happy Holidays!
I really like that Inukshuk on your deck. Is it made of bricks?
ReplyDeleteSnow is always magical at Christmas, but we rarely see any here on Vancouver Island. We're expecting rain, I think.
Merry Christmas!
We were in Sooke for the month of November Lorrie, and there happened to be snow on the 17th. It was an unexpected surprise.
ReplyDeleteMy innukshuk is made from old bricks .. My own version.
Mild and wet again here in Ireland after a weekend of frost and snow. I hope it stays mild as we've been snowed in the last 2 Christmasses.
ReplyDeleteWe had flurries here but we did not even get the dusting that you did.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Linda to you and yours!
It was quite cold here over the weekend but today is misty and dark. I am glad that the Winter Solstice is upon us and now we get more light each day. Merry Christmas. V
ReplyDeleteAs yet, my neighbourhood is "sprinkless". Apparently, it will be going up to about 9 degrees (C) on Wednesday!

Woke up Sunday to about 1" of snow on the ground - perfect Christmas card weather for my family party. By mid-afternoon after the guests had all arrived, the snow began to melt and is completely gone. There is no snow forecast here in Tillsonburg, Ontario until a few flurries on Christmas Day. Tomorrow it's going up to 10 degrees Celsius.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos in this post with the light dusting of snow. The weather here is supposed to be getting milder.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be a Green Christmas this year. I hope you have a great holiday.
