In the afternoon, just for a few minutes, we saw some snowflakes coming down. I guess the weather was letting us know that winter is getting closer and this is just a tiny sample of what is to come.
But after those 2 very wet days the clouds cleared away and there was a gorgeous sunset.
While cooking dinner I popped out onto the back deck to admire the skies and snap some photos.
The colours in the sky were changing quickly.
And before I knew it they were fading away.
Later in the evening I took this photo of the moon. I still haven't mastered the technique of taking night photos. That is something for me to keep working on. Why not stop by Sky Watch and see more photos of bloggers that keep their eye on the sky.
I've been playing around with my blog template too. I'm going to try not having a side bar so that the post window can be bigger and show off my photos better. Just about everything that was in the side bar is now at the very bottom of the blog.

Certainly a different atmosphere to the blog. I wonder if it will influence not only the look of the page but the content of the posts.
