At the end of November, when we got home from out trip out west, the buds were all formed.

Since taking these photos the buds have started to open. I'll be posting some more photos soon.
I've got lots of posts about this plant, and if you wish to view them just click the label Christmas Cactus at the bottom of this post.
It is a dull and dreary Friday here in my part of Ontario. The bright blooms on the Christmas cactus are the bright spot of the day. There is a wet snow and rain mix coming down. It really isn't settling on the ground yet. But who knows when that will change.
Hope you are enjoying Friday.

Such a pretty pink. V
ReplyDeleteLovely bright colour to cheer up a dull day.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that most people here in Australia call them Christmas cactus too, even though here they bloom in July.
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful. I haven't had a Christmas cactus in awhile. Thank you for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my my blog!
Beautiful, Linda. There's nothing blooming here in Tillsonburg - just waiting for the amaryllis
ReplyDeleteI have two Christmas cacti that have bloomed about 2 weeks ago...they were so beautiful. I'm interested in the fertilizer info! Mine are probably begging for it by now!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas cactus is really lovely! When we live in a cold climate, we have to have our color inside, right?
ReplyDeleteHugs, Beth
I love Christmas cactus. It's my favourite holiday plant. That's a gorgeous flower colour.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color. Yay! for Christmas Cacti. I want a pink and a white. They're so much more fun than one of those red poinsettis pots that just as well be tossed when the bracts fall.
