On the first day of Christmas my camera snapped for me ... a cardinal in a bare tree and then continuing on ...

2 swans a swimming
3 robins feeding

4 ducks a swimming

5 cowbirds snacking

6 turkeys gobbling

7 geese a lined up
8 sparrows feeding

9 doves a resting
10 geese a flying
11 ducks a sitting
and
On the twelfth day of Christmas my camera snapped for me ... 12 geese a honking
I'm looking forward to taking more photos of feathered lens friends next year.

Lovely! That would make a cool calendar too.
ReplyDeleteI'll tuck you in today, then I'll move the link to the 12th Day on the 6th of January. Lots of fun work collecting the dozen bird pictures!
ReplyDeleteSome numbers were easier to find than others Of course the higher numbers have to be the ducks and geese.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed that you got such great pictures, and all the perfect number! I have a hard time with any bird picture. These are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Linda

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever enjoyed a 12 Days of Christmas as much as your version!! So neat.
Of course I love nature so...
I like your new banner also.
Happy New Years!
cute rendition, Linda. And very clever of you to capture all the birds in the right numbers. Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHow cute and original. Like your rendition so much better than the original one.

Very imaginative post Linda. And the header is delightful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a BRILLIANT post!! Wish we had those beauitful Cardinals over here in the UK...quite stunning birds! Happy New Year xx
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. The cardinal in a bare tree is so much more colorful and festive than a partridge in a pear tree.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photos! I enjoyed reading this...makes a nice change from the original version! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photo's. I really enjoyed this.
