This means a temporary rest from activity.
Just look at this squirrel I captured through my lens. What a lens friend he turned out to be.

He certainly isn't involved in any activity as he lays along the deck railing soaking up some sun. I think this is the perfect photo to show the meaning of repose.
I can't wait to see other interpretations of this word at Word for Wednesday

That squirrel is so perfect, just sunning itself and taking a rest. Love it. Thanks for joining it.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is perfect. The squirrels resting in the fall garden...ahhh...I need to take the hint!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable friend you have there! He looks quite at peace.
ReplyDeleteTail straight out.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Linda, what a riot! He is certainly at home on your railing! I LOVE it! What a cutie! (Of course, my dogs would be going nuts LOL.... they would not be snoozing if he were out and about around here!
ReplyDeletePS... I LOVEW your new look for autumn on your blog!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lazy squirrel I say:-) But of course, everyone has the right to be lazy from time to time. Really love your blog, I can almost smell the flowers in here.
ReplyDeleteIt's cute, but maybe it is not resting but waiting for a perfect timing to get his prey, stalking, haha!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! That was a great capture. He must have been taking a break...in repose! :)
ReplyDeleteLinda girl how are you !
ReplyDeleteOMG ! we have the same type of squirrel here (that aggravates me to death actually) and he used to think he was boss of the back yard until we chased him off a few times.
This guy is totally relaxed and you too the perfect picture of him .. he should be posing in "Play-Squirrel" magazine ? LOL
