A Green Tea Day

After a busy morning shopping, unloading the van, and putting groceries away I always enjoy a nice cup of tea and a little treat.  First it is time to choose which teapot to use.

Tucked away on the corner of the counter sits a green set that I've had for ages.  We use the sugar bowl and storage canister all the time.

Today I chose a green teapot for one and thought a green tea would be nice to go along with it.  Should it be a pear green tea, a ginger peach green tea, or a plain green tea?

I chose the Stash ginger peach green tea.  The aroma is lovely while it is steeping.  I picked up this little teapot for one at a garage sale for $2 in the summer.  Even though the colours don't show that well all of the pieces are actually the same dark green.

The tray is set with tea, some chocolate digestive biscuits and a book to read for a few minutes peace and quiet.  This is another book in the Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs.  Just reading this series makes you want to brew a pot of tea.
Be sure to make time to relax with a cup of tea today.
Won't you join Rose Chintz Cottage, Tuesday Tea for Two, and Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday for tea today.

  1. So cute, Linda. It is a cup of tea type of day - sat and had my Teaopia "cleansing tea" this morning - orange scented green tea that's sure to warm anyone up.
    Enjoy.

  3. Hi Linda
I like the green tea things and you chose one of my favourite teas to have.
I've read a few of the Tea Shop Mystery books and really enjoy them but haven't picked up the one you have yet.

  4. I've always wanted one of those stacked tea pot and cup sets-so neat! I drink tea all day long.
I have heard of the Tea Shop mysteries, but haven't read any yet. Winter will hopefully give me more time to enjoy my books again.

  5. You are like me to, after an outing I always relax with a cup of tea and good book. Your book looks interesting, you should do a book review on it....always on the look-out for a recommended book and review. Enjoy your tea my friend! Diane

  6. That sounds like a nice tea Heather, I'll have to check it out at Teaopia the next time I'm at the mall.

Nice to hear some of you have read the Tea Shop Mysteries. Perhaps over the winter I'll do some book reviews.

  7. Ginger Peach is a favourite of mine if I make a pot of tea in the afternoon. I have read the scones and bones book. Have you tried any of the scones in the recipe section? They sound delicious. V

  9. Hi Linda,
I love the dark green; such a rich colour! The book looks like a good one. I am going to have to go to the library and find some. I would imagine they make for good reading with a cup of tea. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  10. Linda,
Not having had a pear tea before, I'd have to go for that one, although the peach sounds great! I'm with you on the theory of a good book goes with a cup of tea. Then again, a good book goes with anything!
