The Grand Opening

For awhile now the chrysanthemums have been having a grand opening.
From a tight green bud to a beautiful pink bloom with a bright yellow center.

Mums are a good sign that Fall is approaching.

A macro photo of a bloom almost open to share on Macro Monday

You can see lots of other wonderful mosaic images at Mosaic Monday.

Is Fall arriving in your garden?

  1. Hi Linda
Yes, fall is creeping in here too. The morning walks are much cooler and my asters are beginning to open.
Your macro shots are good, showing the mum in her various stages.

  2. As beautiful as they are, and the season they accompany, I am not looking forward to the next one....the "w" season. According to the Farmer's Almanac, we are in for a long and very cold winter. I hope it's wrong. Until then, I shall enjoy every lingering moment of summer! Another great reason for blog hopping! :)

  3. No matter how I try to bar the gate, fall is sneaking into the garden. The heavy morning dew, the chill in the air, the last desperate opening of a rose - it all says 'move over summer and make room for fall.'

  6. Fall is starting to arrive, the coneflowers are looking rather sad, but the roses are coming back. At some point my neighbours gigantic maple will be glorious above our shared fence. Beautiful photos, Linda.
