So I took those floppies I trimmed down and put them all in a bucket and sat it on the bench at the end of the driveway to give a dull spot a shot of colour. I also need to do some weeding. That is something I haven't done a lot of this season due to my knee surgery. But now I'm able to bend down more, and so with the help of my trusty stool and some garden gloves I'm tackling the weeds and grass that are popping up in the garden beds.

I would tidy it up just a bit but it's still raining...
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the link Linda.
I try to spend a an hour a day walking the garden, deadheading flowers and pruning here and there. You reminded me though that my roses are in need of some cutting!
ReplyDeleteLinda I love the word floppies ...... so far this year my tomato plants are the worst offenders....... love the bucket casually sitting on the bench.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda: I know what you mean by the flopsies. Got a few of them myself. I spent all last weekend pulling weeds and cutting back. I have a huge pile in my wheelbarrow that needs to go in the garden waste bags. Don't want to compost the weeds. V
ReplyDeleteYup, I have the floppies, too! I've been spending some time outside cleaning up around the garden...mostly deadheading and pruning. The weeds weren't that bad this year; I have no idea why, but I'm thankful for it!
ReplyDeleteLinda girl YES ! I have floppies .. I wouldn't trust a gardener who said they didn't !!
ReplyDeleteI did a little tidy up this morning but I have to do some serious tidying ? soon !! .. that torrential down pour of rain did not help my case at all ;-) hehehe

What a lovely, gorgeous post about what is happening in your garden. It's making me long for warmer weather down under.

The Floppies, love it!! I do not have Black Eyed Susans, or Coreopsis or the likes... But if having a garden full of weedy junk, that needs to go in the compost counts, that's me!!!! lol...
ReplyDeleteHi Linda
ReplyDeleteYes, I have many, many floppies! There's not many flowers left but the ones in my baskets.
It was only 58 here and very windy off the lake. So all the flowers got a good beating today too.
Take care-Kimberly
Yep. I have floppies in my garden too. My zinnias are flopping over my portulaca and my Mexican heather.
