Take time to smell the roses
I probably spent too much time smelling the roses and forgot to post this on Friday, oh well, that is what happens when you are retired, you forget what day it is.
Be sure to stop over to Tootsie Time and see lots more gardeners that are flaunting their flowers on Fridays.

Adorable! A lovely set of photos. I love mini roses; I have quite a few in my garden.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely set of photos of your mini rose. Just beautiful.

Such delicate little buds and blooms! I'm asking myself why I don't have any cheery yellow roses!
ReplyDeleteHow I love roses, your picture reminds me of my Grans garden which was full of them. One comes to mind, which was called Blue Moon that one i liked also.
ReplyDeletebest wishes Julie.C
Linda, we planted a yellow mini that was given to us last year as a gift and it is doing beautifully. All we know about it is that it came from Canada (according to the tag) but it looks identical to yours. We planted it out front in the cottage bed and that little thing is covered with blooms!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your golden beauty! In case you are thinking of planting it in the ground, I can tell you that ours has done fine and in fact, it doubled in size when we did. (Still a petite rose with mini blooms, though).
I just love mini roses. I'm trying to get my favorite bush to come back right now. I've added coffee grounds and my chicken's egg shells. We'll see. I LOVE the yellow!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of photos.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Mini roses are my latest love! I think they are sooo adorable. I love your yellow - very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty mini! Hope you had a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rose photos. When I lived in zone 6, I planted several mini roses that I bought at my local grocery, and they did fine in my garden.
ReplyDeleteCathy, the tag says Kordana rose. grown in Grimsby, On if that is any help in identifying your rose.
ReplyDeleteI do plan to plant it at the end of the season, might just sink the whole pot into the ground in a sheltered spot and see what happens.
Ambler, you are zone 6 USDA, I'm zone 5b Canadian which is quite different.
Hi Linda
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet little rose. When I planted the miniatures a few years ago I found they didn't over winter too well. I hope yours will for you.
