The dad was feeding the young one seeds from under the feeder.

These aren't some of my better photos.

But I just grabbed the camera quick and took them through the window,

as I didn't want to risk opening the door and scaring them away.
I couldn't wait to share these lens friends with you.
I hope you have some time to blog hop over to Camera Critters and see lots of other great photos that bloggers are sharing of lens friends this week.
Take time to enjoy the garden today.

Linda Love these photos so nice to see.
ReplyDeleteAwww, so sweet... Thanks for sharing such a beautiful moment!
ReplyDeleteWow, I never knew they looked different when they were younger. Beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat sequence of nature photos. Keep on clicking.
ReplyDeleteAh- so cute!
ReplyDeleteCrafty Gardener, I finally got around to follow up your message on Blotanical and visit your blog! You are writing a very nice one, I enjoyed reading through the last couple of posts. The red cardinal looks amazing. We don't have these birds here in Southern California, but we have humming birds to make up for that :-)!

It is a nice sighting just to see the adult and juvenile males together.

I love cardinals and think they are the sweetest, most "gentlemanly" of all the birds.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda

You were quick to grab the camera and get the shots. Doesn't matter if they aren't perfect. We were able to share the moment with you. Nancy
ReplyDeleteOh my - does it get any cuter than this! What a nice dad. :)
ReplyDeleteCute shots of the Cardinals, Linda! It is neat to watch the parents feeding their young. I love your header shot. Great photos, have a wondeful day.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the cardinal birds, Linda. I have a fridge magnet from Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia USA which has pne of these birds on it. I'm just sorry I never saw any on my trip. The adult is the most amazing colour.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda - great shots - everytime I go to get my camera, the birds are gone. But my feeder is only 10' outside my kitchen window, so I get to enjoy the birds on a daily basis anyways. Have some cardinals, blue jays and wrens, just waiting for the goldfinches to discover my new feeders.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. I've never had the great joy of seeing a cardinal live. I wonder if we have them in BC?
