Spring Cleaning

Spring is here and it's time to do some spring cleaning.  Not around the house but at my plot at Blotanical and here at my blog.  I haven't been that active there lately especially in the picks department.  But with some time on my hands I thought I had better get more involved again.

If you are a member at Blotanical you know all about that faves section.  Your points determine how many faves you can have, but there are so many wonderful blogs out there it gets hard to choose. I decided to look at posts from the blogs that were in my faves and discovered that some of those blogs hadn't been updated in a long, long time, and some had even vanished.  So it was out with the old and now it will be in with the new and some of my previous favourites.

I've got upcoming surgery in early May and I won't be as mobile in my own garden, but I will be able to enjoy the gardens of others.  So what better time than to discover new blogs, add them to my faves section and enjoy them.  There is also a section about favourite Blotanists and I'll have to check into using that more as well.

If you haven't visited Blotanical be sure to click the button on my side bar and pay a visit.  You won't be disappointed.

And because it is 2sDay here is a photo of 2 lilac buds.  Did you ever notice how at the end of most lilac stems there are 2 buds?

The spring cleaning at my blog invovled setting up some pages for the top which now have all the links to my various craft projects and garden posts.  I also added a new blogger feature of the most visited posts. And I've been changing the template to find a new one that I like. There is still more tweaking to do at the blog but it will all get done eventually.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day.

  1. The new look is coming along nicely. I did not know you could even remove blogs from your favorites list on Blotanical. Perhaps I should do my own Spring Cleaning. Although I confess, I have not been very active lately.

So much to do in the Spring. Good luck on your surgery.

  2. There is a spot to click to remove sites from your faves section. It's right under the blog thumbnail.

  4. Good idea for Blotanical cleaning, but I must admit visiting most on my faves list regularly. My cleaning is for a different reason though. I ran out of faves to give and there are some that must go to make room for those that fave me. Seems only fair. Really wish Stuart would consider letting us have more. And visiting new blogs is a great idea. There are some really interesting and creative ones out there of late.

  5. I love your close-up photo of the lavender buds. Good idea to do some Blotanical housekeeping. I'm new there so I don't have to yet, but I'm sure there will come a day!

  6. gardenwalkgardentalk, you can always add members to your favourite Blotanist list to access them regularly. You get more faves by accumulating more points.
