Reflections on Calm Water

The waters at the Bay of Quinte were calm yesterday morning and some wonderful reflection photos were captured through my lens.

The morning started out quite foggy and even when it lifted it was still a dull morning.

The trees are reflected perfectly in the calm water.

This has to be one of my favourite shots.  The tree created the perfect reflection.

I'm joining in with Weekend Reflections and Shadow Shot Sunday.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend.

  2. What terrific captures! Fantastic shadows/reflections on the water and I always love the blackened, bare trees, such dramatic touch! Hope your weekend is going well, Linda! Enjoy!

    WELCOME THE SHADOWS

    Welcome the shadows surrounding your life,
    Treat them as lover or husband or wife;
    Welcome them in as you would one who’s dear;
    Hug them, embrace them without any fear;
    Honor, respect them, and give them their due,
    For shadow and light are both parts of you.

  7. The last photo is my favorite too. If you would turn it 45° against the clock you have a new magical tree.

  16. I like these reflection photos. I've lived near water, so I know what magic different kinds of weather can bring to the edge. I can feel the calmness in myself that the water shares with us in these. Love them all.

    Peace

  18. Hi Linda
    I'm taking a bit of time this morning to visit a few friends.
    Your reflection photos are amazing and I like your favourite one too. Keep it in mind for a photo competition sometime, it would be a winner for sure.
    I've been in the garden a couple of times so far just cleaning debris and I cut back the butterfly bushes.
    Hope you have a great week.
