Shadow in the Sun

We were teased on Thursday and Friday into thinking spring had arrived.  The temperature reached just over 10 Celsius on Friday afternoon.  The snowbanks went down rapidly, only to reveal that dirty layer by the roads.  On Saturday the sun came out but the winds had picked up considerably on Friday night and they reached speeds of 100 km. per hour.  What a lot of noise they created overnight.  I fully expected to see some damage in the morning, but only awoke to a few branches down.

But through it all our lens friend, Shadow found some lovely sunny places to stretch out and relax.  This one shows shadows from the window frame and her just soaking up the sun.

Why not do some blog hopping today ... first over to Camera Critters to see some adorable photos of favourite critters and then over to Shadow Shot Sunday where you can see many more amazing shadow photos.

  2. Your cat is called Shadow too? Ours is a gentle grey fluffball with loads of character! But she needs to energise in gentle sunlight - even if it means being indoors behind a window and out of blustery winds! Lovely photo!

  3. I wish I could sleep like that--completely given over to dozing!

    A PARFAIT DAY

    A seeker of shadows one day
    Did trip as she went on her way;
    She picked herself up
    And dipped from a cup
    Of shadowy lemon parfait!

  6. Shadow has the right idea -- find those sunny spots and enjoy them for as long as you can! What a cute kitty!

  7. Cats are definitely solar-powered. And cuddling a sun-warmed cat, though it might annoy the cat, is so nice for the person.
    Wonderful shadow shot of Shadow.

  9. Shadow has the right idea! I had to giggle about your 10 celsius temp. The temps climb much higher than that in the middle of winter where I am. I'd struggle to survive a winter where you are :)

  10. Who could possibly argue with that type of solar heated relaxation?
