Flowers for Friday

On a day when a storm is supposed to dump more snow on our area it is wonderful to look at the Christmas Cactus and enjoy the lovely buds and blooms that are brightening up the kitchen.

The one bud that I had originally has turned into many, many more.  And what a delight they are.

The tight bud opens up into a gorgeous bloom.

It reveals many petals and it takes on a very interesting shape.

It reminds me of an exotic creature in flight.

I hope you have some Friday flowers to enjoy.  Why not stop over to Tootsie Time and see lots more.

  1. Very lovely blooms; perfect on a winter day where we are expecting some snow. If we can't have outdoor blooms (yet), at least there are the indoor plants to brighten up our homes.
