A Bit of Sewing
Awhile ago I made a holder for my circular knitting needles. I had seen some similar ones for sale on etsy and decided I could make one for a lot less. Febricland had some cotton material on for $3.00 a metre so I purchased a nice flower print and set to work making the holder.

After a bit of tweeking with a paper pattern I came up with 12 pockets (4 in each row) to hold the needles.

It folds up and is tied with some ribbon. The circs are easy to find now and can be stored on the shelf in the craft closet with my other needle and hook holders.I"m still working away on the brown and beige afghan. And just yesterday my daughter saw a neat crayon holder on etsy so I just might have to make one of those for my grandson's markers. I've added that project to my ever growing list of things to do when I retire in June.
That's a great little project. I should make one for my knitting and crochet needles.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
I love the spring countdown at the top of yours!
Thanks for your kind comments :) I like this needle organizer, I have a similar roll that I inherited from my great grandmother (knitting seemed to skip 2 generations in my family!) and it is so useful
