All Dressed Up ...

... with no where to go!
The snow has been drifting down once again and the garden looks beautiful dressed up in white.
The weather office at CFB Trenton measured about 15 cm. of snow that fell yesterday.

The potentilla in the front garden that is usually covered in small yellow blooms all summer is decked out in white.

The lilac bush that gets covered in fragrant mauve and white blooms in spring is laden with white.

The weigela that has lovely pink blooms in summer is looking pretty dressed in white.

The pampas grass that sends up tall, straight plumes is bending over from the weight of the white snow.
The storm has given beauty to the dormant limbs of the sleeping shrubs in the garden.

  1. They have beautiful white gowns on and so pretty. Have a great day.

  2. The shrubs are at least very architectural at this time with the fluffy snow on them. Suppose I have to be happy with that for now.

  3. Yup, everything is dressed in white. It always looks so pretty until that nasty old wind blows the snow dressing off of everything.

  4. Linda your photos have captured the beauty of winter in a garden. I for one and tired of all the snow and now how cold it is.......

  6. Linda, thanks for the visit to my blog today. We have sunshine, finally but a windchill of -20 though our high is forecast to be -10. Your garden looks elegant dressed in its winter finery. Here's hoping you see the sun soon too. By the way, pampas grass? I'm jealous!

Glad to hear you are retiring in June. It is a great time of life.
    Cheers from Cottage Country!
