It looks like they are chatting to each other, perhaps plotting to prove me wrong about visiting the flat feeder. At the same time there were two female cardinals flitting around but they never all landed on the feeder at the same time.

Ah aren't they looking so cute :)
ReplyDeleteI gave up on bird feeders, I got tired of fighting and feeding the squirrels. I have cardinals, blue jays and chickadees in my yard so they must be finding food someplace.
ReplyDeleteThose cardinals are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish for Cardinals in my yard! They are so beautiful. Do they prefer ground feeding or a tray feeder and what type of seed do you "serve"?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog header and all the bird pictures!!
ReplyDeleteFinally you received some snow?
In Guildwood there is just some snow covering the garden!!
Happy New Year!!
- Cheers Gisela.
I would love to see cardinals at my feeder. You are lucky keep them coming back. Here in Prince Edward Island our areal bird is the Blue Jay and perhaps that is the reason we don't have cardinals at the feeder because we have so many Blue Jays, they are a territory bird.
ReplyDeleteHi Picket Fence, the cardinals like black oil sunflower seeds and safflower seeds. They usually are ground feeders but will go to the flat feeder from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHi Gisela, we had some snow a couple of Saturdays ago and I took those photos then.
Hi Cindy, we have lots of bluejays too, and they like the peanuts we leave for them in the old mail box feeder.
