These are wild Eastern red cedars, which actually belong to the juniper family. In the cold weather they turn brown.

What a lovely shot! Younever know where you'll find the perfect shadow!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous! It has a lovely golden glow to it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot. I like the tall shadows this time of year. It's been cloudy around here, (Northern Wisconsin, USA), but so many sunny shadows shots from Canada, particularly Ontario. And no snow on the ground. What's up with that?
ReplyDeletePeace.
Hi Linda .. I am visiting in between "fixing" the blog .. hehe
ReplyDeleteThe trees look more than ready for snow ? ;-) .. It is freezing here this morning , but that weird hike in weather is going to happen with rain and going up to about 12 ? .. not good if it freezes again .. oh well .. that is Canadian weather right ?
Joy : )
Spadoman, contrary to American belief we do not all live in snow at this time of the year. It is still a bit early for us here in southern Ontario. But it will be on its way in the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, tweaking is something that always goes on, keep having fun. Yep, it's chilly this morning, but we are heading upwards for rain in the next day or so.
Thanks to everyone for visiting today.
Nice shot! very autumny
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and especially the frost on your header.
ReplyDeletepretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is really great captured! Having the browny around looks not healthy, in a way but this is kind a pretty ambiance.
ReplyDeleteLuv the autumn shot!
Happy SSS...
