Preening

On a lovely walk down by the bay one morning I captured the heron perched on its rock doing some preening.

Straighten out those feathers on my back.
 Scratch under my chin.

Stretch my wings and soak up some early morning sun.

The more we look the more we see.
Nature never ceases to amaze me.

  2. Hi Linda
You had a treat to see a heron doing something other than just standing there.
It's nice to have the weather a bit cooler now, makes gardening easier.

  13. Linda, I love the layout of your blog, it looks so well put together. I think that I have been admiring it for awhile, don't know why I didn't say anything before.

Herons are my all time favorite. You got some great shots, they don't always like us getting too close.

  14. great shots. with all the rain we have been getting again this year, we have a lot of late seasons ponds (standing water) and have noticed a lot more herons near by & other water fowl. just never close enough for my little point & click. Faythe @GrammyMousetails
