Dragonfly Shadows

This gorgeous dragonfly settled on my husband's sleeve while we were out garage sale-ing one Saturday.  I just happened to have my camera in my bag and was able to get this shot of it before it flew away.
You can see the reflection of the wings and its body.
It's the perfect photo for linking with Camera Critters, and Shadow Shot Sunday.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you can take a moment to leave a comment and say hi.

  2. What an exquisite capture, Linda! And such a delicate, beautiful shadow shot! I love it! One rarely thinks of "bugs" as being beautiful but this dragonfly is incredibly beautiful! Now, how many chances do you have to get a shot like this? Terrific! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend!

  5. Dragonflies are the most elegant creatures. The four wings are quite delicate, yet give blazing speed to the insect - if he/she is in a hurry. Here it would seem not! Such beauty!
