Blue 'Purse'onality

I love tote bags and I love to make them.  Here is a blue granny square bag based on the pattern called Inga's crocheted bag. It was a quick and easy pattern to make and it pieced together very quickly. I adapted the pattern to suit me by taking out the bottom piece.

This is a wonderful pattern for using up odds and ends of yarn that are in your stash. Awhile ago I made one using up all my brown and beige yarn.

I also lined the bag and straps. I line the straps as I find if just left as crochet they tend to stretch out too much. A pocket for my cell phone was added and also a ring on one of the straps to fasten my keys.
This is the perfect craft for Blue Monday

For Mosaic Monday I created a mosaic/collage of some of the bags I have made, each with their own 'purse'onality.
I'm glad you took time to visit today

  3. Very fun. I couldn't do that if my life depended on it. I have friends that are great with crochet and knitting.
It is fun to watch them work.

  6. Great totes, sounds like you've thought of everything a girl could want to keep organized! I've tried to make dishrags before and even they come out crooked!

  7. The blue tote bag is absolutely lovely! I love that even the inside is so pretty too. How talented are you??? I have no clue how to knit or crochet but it's on my list of things to learn someday.
    Stopping by from Blue Monday.

  12. That is so clever and such a vibrant blue! My grandmother had a knack for knitting and crochet-- but so far I haven't inherited it.

  15. OMGosh, that is gorgeous!!! I so love the blues you used. Ya know, I made this same bag but not in the beautiful blues you used. I used up my stash of variegated yarns in shades of pink and didn't line mine. Wish I had. Lovely job :)
