Starting with a chain of 15 and then just added rows of single crochet till it was the length of the strap. I joined the piece together with a slip stitch and then slid it onto the camera strap. It is easily removed for washing. If you decide to make one of these you will have to guesstimate (don't you just love neat words?) how many stitches you need to wrap around the strap and work from there.
