Shadow's Shadow

It was such a lovely sunny day yesterday.  We all enjoyed some time in the sun.  Even Shadow our lovely indoor cat will come outside for a little while.  I was able to capture some shots of her through my lens.
One of her favourite places is to sit on the back steps of the deck and peer underneath in hopes of glimpsing the resident chipmunk.  I captured Shadow and her shadow sitting in the shadows.

I thought this would be the perfect photo for my first time participating in Shadow Shot Sunday.

  1. Shadow in shadow—
who would have thought that darkness
    could eclipse a cat?

  13. What could be better than a shadow shot of Shadow? Perfect for your first time. I call one of my cats "Shadow" also, although it isn't his official name. He's always hiding in the shadows and he's gray so he blends right in. He's also afraid of everything- including his own shadow.
Your shot is a really nice photo.
