The Blooms of Spring

For Friday's flower I'm flaunting some spring flowers and they arrived just in time for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day.

The beautiful tulip blooms that wave in the breeze.  I must confess these didn't grow in my garden, but they were a gift from a friend.  My tulips are just starting to bud.

I just love the arrival of pansies at the flower store and couldn't resist stopping by to buy some in shades of white, yellow and orange.

Now these daffodil blooms are in my garden and there are many more buds ready to open.  The ground looks so dry so the rain for the next few days will be most welcome.

And anyday now the red trillium will open up its buds to reveal a gorgeous flower.  I can't wait.

  3. Hi Linda - isn't it nice to see things opening up. My tulips are just starting to open up. Was at a friend's yesterday and her trilliums are blooming - but I think we're a bit ahead of you here in Oshawa. Hope you post photos of yours when they open.

  5. Linda, I'm so glad you are finally having some spring up there in the frozen north! My pansies are still doing very well and I still have some tulips remaining, though most have been eaten, & those that weren't are past their 'prime' and losing the fresh look that they had. Your rains should help to bring even more spring plants out of the ground so soon you'll be able to share more on your blog! Enjoy your spring!

  8. Hi Linda
Your spring flowers seem to be ahead of us so it is nice to enjoy them.
It looks like your trilliums are in a container - do you keep them there permanently?
Calling for possbile snow tonight and tomorrow again - wacky weather.

  9. My tulips have not opened, but they do have buds. Still only have two daffodils in flower, but the others are coming along. I too bought some pansies in a pot, they sit by the front door. We are starved for some blooms.
