Through My Lens

I'm forever taking photos of Nature ... usually numerous shots of the same thing.  A quick upload to the computer and then choose the best shot.  I use Adobe Photoshop to crop, edit and resize my photos.
My digital camera is my constant companion while I'm working in the garden, walking by the water, or just out and about on my travels. I have 4 different digital cameras. One is a handy purse size point and click HP R818 which takes great photos.

Another is an Olympus SP-550UZ which has an 18x zoom lens.  This camera is best used on a tripod when using the full zoom as when the lens is extended it tends to shake, so the tripod keeps it steady.  There is also some amazing macro settings on this camers which lets me get right up close.  I recently added an Olympus SP-800UZ which has an amazing big 30x optical zoom lens.

The one I use the most is a Canon EOS Rebel T1i.  I just have the  18x55 lens and a 55x250 lens.  It takes amazing photos on all the various settings.
You never know when that "Kodak Moment" will happen. (even though I don't have any Kodak cameras)

  2. Hi, so nice you visited my blog, and I got to discover yours, so much in here, I could stay all day!!

Really interested in your camera choices, I feel I have gone about as far as I can, especially with macro shots, using my little, but quite powerful compact canon. I would love to get a dSLR with a great macro lens, but am not sure which, and am constrained by price! People talk highly of the Canon rebel Xsi, would love your advice if you had time. Thanks! Belinda
