The Lion Has Made an Appearance

Up until now we have had wonderful lamb days in March.
But starting on the 12th the lion made an appearance.  First it just came creeping in with a bit of rain, but last night the lion roared at the windows as the wind picked up and it blew in lots of rain.  And this morning the lion tried to roaring again with some wet snow flakes.

The snow is trying to settle on the deck but I'm sure it won't last long ... please say it won't!
I'm hoping the sun will make an appearance later today and chase the lion away.

We had two family birthdays on the 12th and 13th and there is always nasty weather of some sort.

Here is a bit of cheer to make me forget the weather.  I got a lovely plant from my friend for my birthday.  It's a heather called Erica.  Fittingly enough it came from my good friend Heather.

  1. We've been having a lamb like month too. Most of our snow is melted and I am SO happy!!!! I'm hoping to get out into the garden and start planting my spring crops soon, but first I need to add a little bit more dirt to the newly built beds I added last fall.

  2. Looks like you changed your layout a bit, I like it. Life has been getting in the way of my and my blogging time.
Hope your (and our) weather takes a turn and stays more spring like.

  3. It is still way to early to do any outside work here Cinj ... but I can dream.

Yes Janet, it was time for a bit of a change on the blog. And finally Blogger offers 3 column templates without have to go to all the trouble of doing the html yourself. I'm hoping this will be the end of the lion weather and that lamb will return.

  10. I love your new template, Linda...3 columns is really nice. I've been thinking about taking some time to add a 3rd column to mine. Maybe that'll be next on my list. I think it looks great. Sorry that old lion is roaring his head off at you! I guess he just wants to give you one last 'blast' before he succumbs to the lambs certain reign over him! I hope he leaves you soon! How nice to get a Heather from Heather;-) And Happy Birthday to you. Mine was March 5th. It's gotten cold here again after several very warm days. I guess that's what happens in March. It plays with our emotions, doesn't it! Take care! Jan
