March came in with temperatures on the plus side of 0 Celsius and by this weekend they are expected to push up towards +8 Celsius and maybe even double digits. Combine this with the chilly overnight temperatures and maple syrup time will soon be here.
We could perhaps expect some nasty weather at the end of the month if the old saying holds true. But it will be just fine with me if the lion days bypass us altogether.
Thanks for taking time to visit today. I hope you have time to say hi and leave a comment.

Maple syrup time, hooray! Our girl scout troop in PA went to a farm that made syrup and we got to tap the trees and pour the sap into the big boiler, and taste the syrup of course! It was a wonderful experience. I do hope your March exits like a well mannered lamb as well, turning the saying on its head. Ours began like a lion, so we too will take the lamb, thank you very much. :-)

"Lambs....march-ing" I like that! And the memory of maple syrup/sap - poured on snow and then eaten. If only such things did not have to happen in COLD weather.
ReplyDeleteI hope our lamb stays and I can do some prep work in the garden this week. It should be comfortably warm here in Virginia so I can work outside without freezing!
ReplyDeleteGood sky shots. I noticed your countdown to spring. In Australia, we consider our seasons starting on the first of the month, so we're saying that autumn has already begun. Just one of those cultural differences between countries.

ReplyDeleteYum, maple syrup! Or as we called it when we were kids, 'maple syrple' :-)
