2sDay Gifts

It's 2sDay - the day when I post photos of things I have in twos.   It is a little different today as I am showing 2 different things that arrived at the same time.
It isn't animals, birds or flowers ... but yarn for the Crafty Side of me.

The first is two balls of yarn that Nicola sent me.  Recently she had a contest at her blog and I was the lucky person that guessed the right answer.  It's two 50 gram balls of elann pegasus yarn (cotton/viscose).  Now what will I knit with this lovely yarn?  If you like knittng you will enjoy a visit to Nicola's blog.

Along with the yarn came the most fabulous card.  It was two things in one so I figured I could stretch my 2sDay idea to include this.

Not only is it a card but it is also a pattern.  On the cover is a picture of a hat and printed inside is the pattern.  You can then fold out the instructions and leave your own message.  I've never seen cards like this but I will have to be on the look out for them as I have many knitting friends that would love to receive something like this.

  1. Hi Linda - what to knit? what to knit? What a great dilemma - beautiful yarn and a multitude of possibilities. I'm busy finishing a cable knit blanket for a friend who's having a baby in June. But the garden is calling.

  2. Congrats on your lovely win...I'm sure whatever you decide to make, it will be wonderful. :) What a neat idea to include a pattern with a photo of the finished product. Some people are just so clever!

  3. That has to be one of the most creative cards I have ever seen. Lucky you to win that, and the beautiful wool. I look forward to seeing your creation.

  4. I hope you will post the finished product, the yarn is a lovely color. Started socks in November and still do not have them finished. I always take on too many projects and then have unfinished objects. Such is life!

  5. It certainly is a dilemma Heather, but I'm sure I'll have lots of fun deciding. I hear you about the garden calling ... the weather is warming up here and I long to be outside.

It sure is a neat card Nancy and Jen.

Hi Garden of Threads, the yarn is one of my favourite colours as its from the earth tone group. Having lots of projects is so-o-o-o much fun.
