Squirrel Antics

People have a love - hate relationship with squirrels.  They love to watch the antics the squirrels get up yet they hate how pesky squirrels can be in your garden.
We love to watch the antics of the squirrels as they try to get the peanuts from the feeders.  This one figured out how to climb up the metal pole and then perch precariously from different postions to get a snack.

Mosaic Monday was created by The Little Red House. You are encouraged to create and share a mosaic/collage of some photos. Why don't you stop by and see what some other participants have created. Then try creating a mosaic photo of your own and join in the fun.

  1. Very sweet! How can they be such pests and so cute at the same time! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Squirrels are certainly clever creatures. I figure that if I am going to put out seeds to feed the birds, I need to include enough to feed the squirrels too. They are hungry and cold just like all the other little critters out there.

  5. I'm one that does not like the squirrels! Saw one drinking out of our pool last night! Doubt if they'll enjoy it as much when we turn up the heat!

  7. Our squirrels and raccoons kept eating the suet so quickly we bought a special suet holder in a cage. Now only the birds can reach it and they have to go inside the cage.

  9. The squirrels at my house designate one to perch on the bird feeder and shake the seeds to the ground where the others can eat all of them...birds don't seem to mind since they join the crazy squirrels...btw we have "white" squirrels...

  10. We have 2 birdhouses and 1 bird feeder in the garden. We filled them all with wildbird seeds. It's funny to watch squirrels trying hard to get to them. I live in the mountains in CA so squirrels are everywhere. We dedicated one birdhouse with seeds my husband attached to the tree since we think squirrels are cute! Soon I'll be posting pictures of them in my blog.
