I have often wondered, right from 2001, why we didn't say twenty oh one. We said nineteen oh one, why did it become two thousand and one? Now, finally it is changing, I am hearing twenty ten more frequently.
ReplyDeleteI say two thousand ten...but have also heard twenty and a dime. Doesn't really roll off the tongue.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThis is going to go on and on, this 2010 thing! I say twentyten, but when i saw my first 2010 registered car the other day (ireland) i automatically said i had seen a zero ten car!Gets more confusing so it has to be given its full title, twentyten!
Anyway i am sure we will have other things to take our minds off this conundrum!!!
I guess twenty ten is how I am saying it.(-:
ReplyDeleteI like twentyten just for the change of pace!
ReplyDeleteI thought about this the other day when I was giving dates. I actually say "Oh 10".....I think it sounds strange, but I keep doing it...
