I was glad to see the sun yesterday. It hasn't actually thawed here though. That squirrel must have really been enjoying the seeds.
ReplyDeleteYour canadian grey squirrels seem to have a thicker and bushier tale than our scottish ones.
ReplyDeleteI just love your black squirrels. Melissa (Empress of Dirt)has them too and I love to see their pictures! We only have grey squirrles here. Ground and tree are both grey although the tree ones are prettier then the ground ones are!
ReplyDeleteWe're also having unseasonably warm weather. What I enjoy the most is opening the bedroom windows during the day, and going to bed in a "fresh air" room.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
Greetings from snow-free Toronto. My sister Sarah and I went for a walk at Rosetta McClain park yesterday, and saw what were perhaps the fattest squirrels ever. One tree was literally littered (!) with peanut shells at the base, so they're clearly being catered to. Squirrels tend to be scavengers in our neighbourhood. Occasionally, I'll find a crust of bread buried in a window box, and they often "transplant" my bulbs to neighbours' gardens.
ReplyDeleteI present you with an 'Honest Scrap' Award. Congratulations!

I have spoiled my squirrels rotten this winter - I feed them peanuts in the shells everyday. When I get up in the morning they are waiting at the back door.
