A Sunday Stroll in the rain

It is a rainy day ... should I stay inside ... most definitely not.

Earlier this morning the rain was on and off and I was popping in and out doing little things in the garden. Sometimes I do so many little things, I forget about the big things that need doing.

I love taking photos of the raindrops on flowers. So today was the perfect day to take a Sunday stroll around the gardens and snap some photos. My neighbours probably already think I'm crazy for always taking photos of my plants. Sometimes I lay right down on the grass to get the best shot. So if they see me out today while it is raining they will think nothing of it at all.

Some plants, like the hollyhocks, get all droopy in the rain. Some blooms like the daylily seem to take the rain it their stride and just look more pretty.

The Quiet Country House invites you to take a Sunday stroll around your garden too.

THank you for participating in the Sunday Stroll today. Your daylily is gorgeous with the rain drops on it. Like you, I often lay down to take photos of my flowers. The neighbors must wonder why I'm doing it, but I enjoy it too much to care what they are thinking. :)

Do you share your blog address with your neighbors so they can see the fruit of your labors? It's funny to note the different reactions people have when they learn you are a blogger. Some are totally indifferent, some curious (but not that curious), some suspicious, and a few (very few) are actually interested enough to check out your site.

I really like a rainy day in the garden. (wish we would have one!)
I too have wondered if my neighbors are watching me take pictures of my flowers and think I have lost my mind!
Your flowers look beautiful--rain or shine!

One of our favorite things to do is sit outside under our HUGE patio umbrella in the rain and watch the garden dance around with the weight of the drops.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been much rain here in Seattle for a little over a month now so we're living vicariously through your rainy stroll.

Thanks for sharing with us...

I also like to sit under the patio umbrella and smell the summerrain.
Many flowers do not like rain and become a mess - and I KNOW my camera hate the rain. So I only use my point and shoot if it rains and must take a pricture. Your flowers look lovely.
