Shadows on the snow

We certainly had a lot of snow form the storm of the past couple of days, but there is no use complaining about it. Now we just have to sit back and admire the beauty it has created.

The sun has finally made an appearance today and it is creating wonderful shadows in the garden.

The windmill is actually still after being put to the test in the last storm.

What a lovely double archway ... soon there will be plants climbing over this trellis. I'm allowed to be optomistic today.

The suet feeder is empty and I'm not sure how long it will be before I can get through the snow to fill it up.

And here is my most favourite Shadow of them all. She is the cat that graciously lets us share her home. She desperately thinks she wants to go outside, but as soon as the door opens and she feels that cold breeze and her little paws touch the snow she changes her mind. You can find here in the patches of sunlight, by the heater, or curled up on the pillow of the bed.
She did venture out for a few moments once the deck was cleared, but quickly scurried back inside to the warmth.

It is pretty I must admit, however grudgingly!

Shadows mean SUNSHINE! That's reason to celebrate because in a minute you'll look up and it'll be snowing...again. GGGRRR

It must be getting bad with you gardeners up in the snow country cause you are all going stir crazy. But just think, while I'm fighting off skitos as big as buffalo, you'll be enjoying nice weather.
