How much did you say?
Wow, what a storm we had. Snow and ice rain and ice pellets pounding on us from Friday afternoon right into early Sunday morning.
The weather office at 8 Wing Trenton says around 30 to 35 cm.(12 to 14 inches) of snow. But that does not include the drifting, which was absolutely amazing.
The digging out is starting today. The yellow bit is our rural mailbox sitting at the top of a snowdrift that has been created by the snowplows going by. These guys do an amazing job of keeping our roads clean. In the front right corner you can see a bit sticking out of the snowbank at the end of the driveway. That is our 911 sign. For those of your in our part of Ontario, you will know this sign sits atop a post about 135 to 150 cm. (4.5 to 5 feet) high.
Here is the back deck. The trellis fence is about 3 feet high and the snow has drifted almost to the top.
The bird feeder platform usually sits about 150 cm. (5 feet) from the ground.
I've taken lots of photos already this morning, but I won't bore you will all of them. Just know that there is a whole lot of snow, more than we have ever seen in a long time. Finally the weather warnings have been lifted in our area. Now I will enjoy the beauty of the snow .... the glistening of it as the sun finally comes out to shine.

What the heck is going on? I set the clock ahead and hour and woke up and found spring was set back a month. I'm going Looney. I'm going to pack my bags and head south until Old Man Winter is shot dead on sight.
I think instead of springing ahead an hour, we should be springing ahead a few weeks, right into the lovely warm weather.
Ok ... what have you two been drinking .... share please !!
I'm sooooooo sickkkkkkkkk of WINTER
Manical laughing in background going on ......
JOY
Just tea and coffee for us Joy.
White. White. Everything is White! I think I'm cracking up! Must check out southern garden blogs soon. Don't look out windows. Too Depressing.
Actually the view out the windows is lovely. The sun is shining and the snow is sparkling. When it does that it seems totally different from when it was falling down and pinging on the windows.
Sitting here with my mouth open in disbelief. I could lose a boy or a critter in that.
That's a heck of a lot of snow, Crafty. It sure looks pretty, but I think I still prefer my blues today.
Crafty, it is beautiful, but I'd hate to be the one digging out of that one. I think I'd just have to hibernate until it melted.
Oh, that is just not fair to you Canadians!
Nice to see we are in the same boat! I'm enjoying spring on the other blogs, trying not to feel jealous...mostly.
