Those blooming nasturtiums!!
The nasturtiums continue to bloom right into October. I can't believe how lovely this large pot of nasturtiums is. It really looked dried out and sparse over the hot, humid summer ... but now it is thriving on the damp, foggy mornings and sunny afternoons.
Believe it or not these plants are growing in a tub from an old washing machine.

Have a close up look at some of the colours and patterns on the individual blooms.

I will most certainly be saving the seeds from these plants.

I'm seeing some of the same thing. Plants that I thought were "done" after the hot summer, have been rejuvenated with a little rain and the warm weather we've been having. Those nasturiums are the perfect color for fall.

What beautiful flowers and I love the idea of the washing machine tub. we have a couple of those on the farm so I will see if I can renovate them for my flowers. Thanks for the great idea. sara from farmingfriends
I planted loads of Nasturtium seeds this year and not one of them grew. Maybe I'll have better luck next year. Yours look lovely, I've never seen them that colour before.
Wow -- I have some nasturtiums, and have been amazed at how they're doing so much better in October, but yours are fabulous! Great mix of colors, and you have so many of them -- gorgeous!
What a lovely selection of colours. Here too Summer seems to have returned in the garden. Some plants that hadn't flowered are now in flower. Though the nights are longer and the temperatures cooler we've actually had more sun than we did over the Summer. Happy GTS :o)
I just love nasturtiums, they are a great addition this time of the year when most things are going over. Really like the purple one.
Cheers Mark
Thanks everyone for visiting and commenting on Green Thumb Sunday.
My GTS post is also a plant I thought would be done by now. I'm enjoying bonus flowering time! Thanks for stopping by and Happy GTS.
The color of these nasturtiums.
The last one is my favorite.
I have pink nasturtiums that I really like.
Wow! I never knew there were pink nasturtiums. Those are beautiful! You'll certainly have to save seed. Those are worth keeping.
I love Nasturtiums. Hubby calls them Triffids as they grow all over the place here. I love them as they are an edible plant. Flowers and leaves in salads and the seeds can be pickled like capers. And sprinkled on salads are a bit peppery. Linda yours in the tub are just gorgeous!!!!
I love the colours...having a bad case of nasturtium envy. I've only ever seen red, yellow and orange flowers. Thankyou for sharing.
