Hello I'm Crafty Gardener
I love crafting and I love gardening ... hence my name was created. I've always used the name Crafty Gardener at message boards and my personal website craftygardener.ca
Gardening is just one important part of my life. Family is the most important part. There is crafting, reading, sewing, genealogy, and all the other little things that make our life interesting and important.
I'm a mother to 3 daughters and Granny to one adorable little grandson, and one adorable granddaughter.. In the summer of 2009 we celebrated our 40th anniversary.
I live close to the Bay of Quinte on Lake Ontario, Canada, where my garden zone is 5b. Now that is 5b in the Canadian way of determining gardening zone. Don't get confused with the USDA way in which my garden would be 4b.
My gardens are mainly perennial beds with lots of annuals growing in containers. I also love to re'find' things and use them as decorations in my garden.

Towards the end of the summer in 2008 I did a lot of reflecting about why I blog. It seems I had got a bit carried away and wasn't blogging for me but to meet the requirements that others had set out.
So The Crafty Side and The Gardener Side have been merged together on this blog and I no longer have a split personality. Depending on the season or my mood you will perhaps find more of one side of me than the other.
I have now added my Sow then Grow blog posts to this blog. Everything is neatly organized (at least I think so) so you can find whatever you are looking for. There are links at the top of the center column to take you to each part of the blog.

I really appreciate it when you leave me a comment. I try to stop by and visit your blog and if you ask a question I try my best to answer it.
I think it is wonderful that some of you think of me when passing on an award or tag me with a meme. I did participate in those at the very beginning of my blogging career, but now I pass on most of them. When I did participate I found that those that I passed it onto didn't want to "play the game". I tried just posting the meme and letting those that wanted to join in do it on their own. And no one really picked it up. I'm not into revealing a lot of personal information on my blog, so don't like to answer things like the 5 things you really need to know about me, or the 7 things I've bought lately, or the 6th line from the book I'm reading. Thanks for understanding.
I hope you enjoy visiting my blog, and have time to leave a comment on one of the posts.
